Important things to know:

  • Must have been either regular military or national guard or reserve. Varying times in service needed in each.
    • 90 days of service during wartime
    • 181 continuous days of active service during peacetime
    • 6 or more years of service in the National Guard or Reserves
    • Being the un-remarried, surviving spouse of a service member who died in the line of duty, or as a result of service-related disability.
  • Debt to income can qualify as high as 60%
  • Two years of work history (does not have be consecutive years, and can be multiple employers)
  • Valid DD214 form
  • Valid Certificate of Eligibility (COE) which will be obtained by the lender using your DD214
